Our Team

Brittni and Kim are Health Educators for Jewish Community Services (JCS), a human services agency serving the Greater Baltimore area. They met over 10 years ago in the dog walking world— Kim was Brittni’s boss! One day, Brittni got trapped by a mean, giant cat and Kim had to rescue her! That experience, hilarious and also petrifying (for Brittni), bonded them for life.

Years passed but they stayed in touch, keeping up with each others lives via social media and random run-ins at the grocery store. Recently, however, Kim decided she wanted to return to the working world after being a SAHM for the last five years. Brittni thought she would be a great fit and recruited her to work for JCS. They're now each other's right-hand-woman and make The Mental Well a safe place for all things mental health— being sure to sprinkle a dash of humor into the mix where they can (but Kim is the funny one).

From growing up in households where addiction and mental illness were present, to navigating the challenges of young adulthood (the 30s are still young, right?), Brittni and Kim share a passion for bringing awareness to issues so many of us experience, yet so few of us are willing to reveal.

Welcome to The Mental Well, a safe space to create mental wealth.

Editor + Content Creator, Manager, Prevention and Wellness

Brittni lives in the Baltimore suburbs with her husband, toddler + infant, two dogs, and pet snake. She considers herself to be a "cool mom" because don't all millennials think they're cool? When Brittni isn't creating online content, she can be found teaching yoga or dance. She believes that healing comes from connecting to others and thus writes to inspire others to speak up and live out loud, without fear.
